Fine Art Workshops and Classes:

WORKSHOPS: geared to the beginner, intermediate, and professional alike...You'll work hard but Bonnie will show you how to have fun doing it. The eight Principles of Design will be cut down to size and each day you will see how they are applied to painting, creating monoprints, mixed media, collages or a number of other subjects. You will learn something valuable and practice it on the spot, coming away with increased understanding.

Watercolor workshop: Traditionally watercolor has been considered hard to control and too contrary for serious painting. Few artists have elevated this medium beyond a basic sketch. Bonnie has learned to push those boundaries. She will demonstrate the versatility of watercolor paint. You will learn how to mix colors using a limited palette and how to work in thin layers of washes to build up luminous colors. She will lead you step-by-step with illustrations of the painting process. Emphasis will be on what makes a good painting, planning the entire picture area, the importance of planning the composition with good division of shapes, value planning, communicating what drew you to the subject, and how to correct mistakes. Reach the next level of artistic confidence and ability. Through informal lectures, discussions, demonstrations and critiques you will be guided in refining your personal painting voice. Come prepared to find logical and creative answers to your watercolor problems.

If watermedia is your passion, then this highly energized painting workshop is for you! Bonnie's stress-free, positive approach toward the act of painting will inspire you to loosen up and have fun.
